Healthcare Business Process Automation Solutions PEAK Matrix Assessment 2019
As a ranked leader in the Everest Group report, NTT DATA was recognized for its significant number of healthcare business process automation clients and its dominant shares in all buyer segments due to the company’s large-scale operations and distributed buyer portfolio. NTT DATA was also identified as one of the top four service providers across the payer and provider spectrum of healthcare business process automation space. The report analyzed 14 providers across a spectrum of automation solutions, which include robotic desktop automation (RDA), RPA, narrow artificial intelligence (AI) and general AI.
“In addition to efficiency, productivity and accuracy issues, healthcare organizations are also struggling with a multitude of other challenges, such as the shift toward value-based care, ballooning costs, regulatory changes and rising consumerism. Together, all these negatively impact healthcare enterprises’ financial performance as well as their ability to serve their members and patients in an effective and efficient manner. Technology, especially automation, is a solution that can not only provide quicker ROI, but help payers and providers solve for some of the above-mentioned challenges,” said Manu Aggarwal, practice director, Everest Group. “NTT DATA’s automation-first and platform-agnostic approach, when coupled with significant scale across both payer and provider landscapes, helps its position to solve for these challenges, especially in traditional, manual and error-prone processes such as claims management, revenue cycle management (RCM) and network management.”
“NTT DATA has taken great strides in the growing RPA industry by providing innovative solutions that help transform businesses through IT optimization and intelligent automation,” said Alan Hughes, healthcare group president, NTT DATA Services. “Our end-to-end healthcare RPA services help our clients streamline operations, improve productivity and reduce the overall cost of care.”
Patent-pending RPA Technologies
In the past 18 months, NTT DATA has continued its momentum in seeking patent protection covering RPA technologies. In June 2018, the company announced pending patent coverage for Lean Bot and Security Bot, NTT DATA Code Finder and NTT Robotic Context Processor. Today the company is announcing that they sought patent protection for Virtual Resource Monitoring for Robotic Processes (VRMS), an intelligent workforce (BOT & Human) monitoring and control system that enables real-time visibility, provisioning, dynamic governance and compliance management for a hybrid/digital workforce.
“Decades of experience and successful business process management puts us in a compelling position to innovate and implement large scale automation solutions for our clients,” said, Dr. Harsh Vinayak, senior vice president, offshore operations, business process outsourcing and global shared services, NTT DATA Services. “More importantly, we are going beyond bots-at-work and the immediate gains of automation to truly help our clients visualize how RPA fits into their ecosystem, so they can harness the full potential of automation.”
