Airdroid Business Announces New Remote Control and Customization Features That Enhance Usability and Security
Sand Studio, a mobile device management (MDM) solution provider, announced the release of a bevy of new features and improvement updates to enhance usability, flexibility and security for service providers, IT managers and all AirDroid Business customers. These new features include easy remote control, a new AirDroid Browser with website whitelisting for Kiosk Mode, force uninstallation for Application Management Service (AMS), and other security enhancements to go with the update.
Easy Remote Control: Remote control eliminates the barrier between a person and a device, which improves productivity and efficiency. The standard method to fully access a remote device is to use a rooted device. However, a rooted device may not be applicable for everyone or for every business due to security or technical reasons. AirDroid Business provides an innovative solution with their new Easy Remote Control option to address the challenge of device rooting, allowing IT managers to enable remote control capability of a device with only a few clicks during initial setup. The new feature not only breaks technical and security barriers, but also simplifies the deployment process.

AirDroid Browser and Website Whitelisting for Kiosks: The new AirDroid Browser with website whitelisting capability provides an easy-to-use interface for staff to set up approved websites within a few settings. Administrators can add their own whitelisted webpages and restrict certain features so that users will have a r******** web browsing environment. AirDroid Browser also offers incognito mode and auto-clear cache to provide an anonymous experience. Other features include alert dialog to enhance security, auto-fill input to increase convenience, and page auto-refresh for unattended automation.
App List for Application Management Service: The new App List feature, also referred to as App Uninstall, works directly with Application Management Service (AMS). In addition to being able to see all the apps installed on a device, IT managers can also remove unwanted apps from one or multiple devices. The new App List feature makes managing apps across large deployment much easier.
Security Enhancements: Enhanced security features include the new device lock and factory reset features. The device lock feature enables administrators to remotely setup a pin code for devices without any locking mechanisms. The factory reset feature allows admins to reset a device’s operating system remotely, which provides insurance and security when a device with sensitive information is lost or stolen.

“We are advancing our mobile device management capabilities by continuing to improve and add new features that increase convenience and customization,” says Anson Shiong, CEO of Sand Studio. “For instance, we hear from customers every day that it’s challenging to set up remote control for their environment, but it’s an essential part of their business. These enhancements and new features are here to help reduce technical hassles and time spent on constant reconfigurations, making their lives easier.”
AirDroid Business is a management solution for small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) to control and manage unattended Android devices in large quantities using a centralizing approach. Many businesses that operate unmanned remote devices like digital billboards, vending machines and kiosks spend a lot of time, effort and money contracting technicians to ensure these devices are updated regularly, perform routine physical maintenance and check for any damage. AirDroid Business enables SMBs to ensure the security of their unmanned devices through remote control capabilities, as well as monitoring all the devices in one place, without incurring the cost of sending a technician on-site.
