Bynder Expands Executive Leadership Team to Fuel Continued Rapid Growth

Bynder, the global leader in digital asset management (DAM), announced several leadership appointments, including Paul Heiden as Chief Product Officer, John Mazotis as Chief Information Officer, and Jorrit Achterberg as Chief Legal Officer.

  • Paul Heiden, Chief Product Officer: Paul is a senior product leader with more than 20 years of experience in creating and realizing new technology and product strategies for high tech start-up and scale-up companies. Most recently, Paul served as Chief Product Officer for Utimaker where he created and implemented the product strategy that grew Ultimaker from a small local player to the global number one in professional 3D Printing. He was also the Founder and CEO of BHOLD, a security software company that was acquired by Microsoft Corporation. At Bynder, he will lead the global product organization to spearhead product innovation and cement Bynder’s position as a leading DAM and creative automation platform.
  • John Mazotis, Chief Information Officer: Prior to his promotion, John served as Bynder’s Vice President of Information Security. Throughout his tenure, Bynder achieved certifications with key security standards including ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 27018, PCI-DSS and HIPAA. John’s experience spans more than 19 years in IT, network administration, security and risk management at global companies such as ING Group. As CIO, John will continue to lead global security for the company’s product, network and organization against internal and external information security threats.
  • Jorrit, Achterberg, Chief Legal Officer: Jorrit joined Bynder in 2020 as General Counsel overseeing the full range of Bynder’s legal needs including contract negotiations, ongoing compliance with privacy laws and regulations, and M&A activity. Prior to Bynder, Jorrit held senior roles at HNA Capital, GE Capital, and has more than 15 years of in-house and law firm experience. As CLO, Jorrit will continue to lead a global team dedicated to delivering efficient results, spurring growth and safeguarding the business.

In addition to the recent appointments, Bynder promoted Mike Mansell to Chief Technology Officer and Marianne Spaans to Chief People and Talent Officer in 2020.
