“I’m honored to be joining the CI Security team at such an important time for healthcare cybersecurity,” said John Delano. “Cyberattacks create a huge distraction, while threat actors are getting more sophisticated with Nation-States focused on breaching healthcare entities. The threat forces organizations to better understand their vulnerabilities and get better insight into their overall security posture. Combined with its complete suite of cybersecurity services, Critical Insight’s MDR platform is a driving force for reducing cybercriminals who are trying to do harm, while in many cases, patients are experiencing the most vulnerable times in their lives.”

Prior to his current role, John was Senior Healthcare Strategist for VMware, where he utilized his industry knowledge and experience to work with customers’ executive teams, internal product management, and partner organizations to ensure solutions addressed industry problems alongside improving healthcare outcomes to enable customers to focus on their mission of providing care to patients.

In addition, John held the role of CISO at Cook Children’s Health Care System, where he was responsible for establishing the enterprise Information Security strategy and program to ensure the healthcare system’s critical information resources are protected. Before joining VMware, he was the Vice President and CIO at INTEGRIS Health, where he was responsible for the IT strategy and operations of a $1.8B healthcare integrated delivery network with hospitals, hundreds of physician clinics, and tens of thousands employees statewide.
