Data Risk Company Breakwater Solutions Launches With Executives Jim Vint and Rebecca Patterson to Lead Its Consulting Business

Consulting executives will help governance, legal and risk professionals build data-driven enterprises

Recently launched technology and consulting firm Breakwater Solutions LLC announces Jim Vint and Rebecca Patterson will lead its consulting business. Both were part of the Breakwater founding team and join as managing directors, with Vint also serving as chief revenue officer.

Breakwater helps companies develop sound data risk mitigation practices using a combination of technology and human expertise to address their most pressing challenges related to information governance, disputes and investigations, regulatory compliance, privacy, and cybersecurity. With decades of combined experience in proactive and event-driven consulting, Vint and Patterson will work with clients across a wide variety of industries to identify and address data-driven risk.

Vint brings more than two decades of consulting experience, including at Ankura, Navigant and FTI Consulting. He has built global technology consulting practices that deliver risk mitigation solutions and strategic responses to issues in litigation, compliance, and investigations. He has worked with clients across industries and of all sizes from start-ups through Global 100 as well as Am Law 100, Magic Circle and regional affiliate organizations. Vint began his career at Arthur Andersen and earned his MBA from Duke University.

She has worked with corporate and law firm clients to design and deliver custom solutions and strategic responses founded on data strategy, data analytics, and risk mitigation. Patterson earned her JD and Certificate in Tax Law from Loyola University Chicago.
