Ericom Channel Partner Program Enabling Security Resellers, Distributors, and MSSPs to Deliver a Comprehensive Set of Zero Trust Secure Access Solutions

Exclusively Available via the Channel, Ericom Solution Portfolio Allows Partners to Meet Growing Demand for Secure Remote Access Solutions Aligned with Zero Trust and SASE Security Initiatives

Ericom Software, a leader in secure web and application access solutions, announced several new partnerships, further strengthening the company’s commitment to its “channel-only” go-to-market strategy. Following the appointments in Q1 2020 of Michael Santacross, Director of Channels, Americas, and Matthew Howes, Director of Channels, EMEA, Ericom has expanded its global reach with distribution partners including Tech Data, Arrow Electronics, e92plus, K.K. Ashisuto and Softprom, and security-focused resellers such as ICM Cyber, Optiv Security, and Red River.

Channel partners, including managed security service providers (MSSPs) and specialized, security-focused resellers, are leveraging Ericom’s cloud-delivered and on-premises Zero Trust secure web and application access solutions to bolster their clients’ defenses against aggressive threats as they’ve moved to remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Ericom Shield Remote Browser Isolation, Application Isolator and Ericom Connect are valuable tools in our partners’ arsenals,” said Santacross, Channel Director, Americas. “Partners tell me they love how our solutions align with the key issues their customers are asking about, such as Zero Trust security solutions like remote browser isolation (RBI) and application isolation. For example, RBI prevents 100% of web-based malware, including zero-day malware hidden on malicious phishing sites, from compromising organizations’ endpoints and networks. Staying safe from ransomware and phishing attacks is at the top of the list of customers’ priorities right now.”

“Ericom is laser-focused on building key channel relationships to meet the growing demand for our innovative product line,” explained Howes. “Our goal is to empower our channel sales reps with the information and support they need to be successful in the long run.”

To that end, earlier this year Ericom launched an online education platform with courses and certifications to ensure that partner reps are well-versed in Ericom’s products and solutions. “While the Zero Trust security concept has gained visibility, being able to tie specific areas of the framework to action on projects, and create a Zero Trust technology blueprint is important to our partners as they engage customers,” Howes continued.

In addition to online education and training, partners have access to a variety of sales enablement tools and resources to successfully market and deploy Ericom’s cloud services and security software. Resources such as joint webinars, content and collateral, events and co-marketing activities are providing channel partners with valuable content to leverage in their marketing efforts.

Ericom has recently partnered with Forcepoint on its SASE Cyber Summit and its Cyber Voices Zero Trust Summit, ICM Cyber on its Zero Trust Summit (May), and Softprom’s 3D Virtual Fair (May) among many others.

“The global COVID-19 pandemic has brought the need for secure access to applications and the web to the fore in an extremely powerful way,” added Howes. “Overnight, enterprise organizations needed to re-think their operations and quickly equip employees with the tools they need to work remotely. As they now re-examine their infrastructure to set themselves up for the long haul, Ericom channel partners are well-positioned to offer robust, cost-effective solutions that improve the security of working from home as well as other secure access initiatives associated with Zero Trust security and Gartner’s recently introduced Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) framework.”

“As an Ericom partner, we have the unique opportunity to deliver innovative web access and web application control solutions that address important security requirements tied to the critical digital transformation initiatives that are driving our clients’ businesses,” said Mark Mahovlich, Vice President of Strategy & Execution, ICM Cyber.

“Accessibility to the Ericom Channel team has been one of the key reasons we have been successful in our go-to-market strategy,” said Mukesh Gupta, Founder and Chief Executive at e92plus. “From our launch, Ericom’s training and support have been excellent. Their program empowers our sales teams with the tools they need to effectively align Ericom’s solutions with the market opportunities our VAR partners are focusing on, along with supporting complementary partnerships, such as with Forcepoint.”

Ericom’s footprint has also continued to expand in the Asia-Pacific region, where it works closely with channel partners in a number of countries to deliver zero trust security solutions. Resellers find that Ericom’s set of secure web and application access products, which can be delivered as cloud services or as hybrid solutions, align with their customers’ key security priorities, such as secure work-from-home initiatives and the move to zero trust security frameworks. Regional Ericom partners, such as K.K. Ashisuto in Japan, are experiencing this dynamic. K.K. Ashisuto has developed a large channel of system integrators, service providers and security resellers, which have delivered Ericom’s solutions at a large number of leading Japanese enterprises and public sector entities.

Product Portfolio

Ericom Shield is a remote browser isolation solution, also referred to as cloud based internet isolation (CBII) solution, that ensures web content is never executed locally on the endpoint, preventing 100% of malware from isolated websites from compromising user’s devices. Whether users browse to a website independently or reached one by clicking a seemingly innocuous URL embedded in a phishing email, all browsing activity is contained in remote browsing sessions. Only safe rendering information is sent to a device’s browser, providing a fully interactive, seamless user browsing experience. Websites can also be rendered in read-only mode to prevent users from entering credentials for additional phishing protection. Additionally, file attachments are sanitized before they are transmitted to endpoints, ensuring that malware within downloads cannot infect end-user devices.

Ericom Application Isolator delivers key Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and microsegmentation controls that make applications and resources invisible to hackers if they manage to somehow penetrate a network, preventing lateral movement attacks like ransomware. It also limits access for authenticated users to only the specific applications they need, thereby reducing the risk of malicious insider-attacks. The lightweight software is simple to add to existing VPN and NGFW infrastructures and leverages patent-pending advanced machine-learning capabilities to simplify deployment and use.

Ericom Connect is a secure remote application and desktop access solution built for the enterprise, offering a centralized platform with granular-level controls and performance that scales from hundreds up to tens of thousands of users. The web-based clientless solution allows IT admins to quickly connect remote users with the applications and desktops then need to access without having to install software directly on either in-office desktops or user’s remote devices.
