Keyavi Data Corp., a cybersecurity startup whose innovative technology is transforming the very nature of the data security industry, announced the appointment of four key leaders to the company’s executive ranks: Sean Thurston to Chief Information Officer (CIO) and VP of Professional Services, T.J. Minichillo to Chief Information Security Officer (CISO); Prashant Nijasure to Chief Technology Officer (CTO); and Jag Mandava to Chief Architect.

Sean Thurston: Sean is an authority on information technology and security, with over 25 years of experience in infrastructure, networking, secure communications, security platforms, regulatory compliance and policy. He served as Keyavi’s CISO and VP of Professional Services before being appointed to CIO.
In his new role, Sean is responsible for executing technology transformation, integrations and complex data security initiatives for Keyavi and its customers. By ensuring amazing customer experiences with the company’s data security products and services, Sean plays an integral role in enabling customer success as they adopt new data protection and control strategies.
Previously, Sean held strategic security roles at many Fortune 100 companies, including Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Microsoft and Sprint. He has led both internal and external teams on projects for cloud security, modernization, data oversight, data classification and compliance with global regulations. As a consulting advisor, Sean also worked with numerous government, military, financial services and healthcare companies on infrastructure, networking, IT delivery strategy, data control, system protection, governance risk and compliance, and remote workforce enablement.

T.J. Minichillo: T.J. is a cybersecurity and intelligence expert with over 25 years of leadership and management experience, helping to detect and thwart many of the world’s significant cyber threats. Before being appointed CISO, T.J. served as VP, Cyber Threat & Intelligence.
As CISO, T.J. will oversee the ongoing evaluation, testing and monitoring of security controls to protect the company against an ever-evolving cyber threat landscape. He will also manage Keyavi’s security operations, threat & vulnerability management, cloud security, application security, policy enforcement, and user training and awareness initiatives. Among his key responsibilities is helping Keyavi’s customers protect against accidental or malicious insiders, remote workforce threats, supply chain or partner network compromises, data breaches and other threats designed to steal data or damage a corporate brand.
T.J.’s career spans strategic intelligence roles in financial services, military and energy, including global head of threat intelligence at both National Grid and Morgan Stanley, deputy director at Citigroup’s Cyber Intelligence Center, chief cyber intelligence officer at Merrill Lynch, and senior intelligence special agent at the U.S. Department of Defense. As a cybersecurity consultant, he also directed information security best practices for several cyber security startups, Unisys and Booz Allen. T.J. is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Prashant Nijasure: Prashant is a technology leader with more than 20 years of experience propelling business growth through excellence in enterprise-level technology evaluation and management, product and application development, data, cybersecurity and business process re-engineering across the finance, health, energy and communications sectors. Before being appointed to CTO, Prashant was Keyavi’s VP of Digital Technology.
As CTO, Prashant will be responsible for enhancing Keyavi’s innovative data security product line, for turning new IT concepts into reality, managing the company’s development team and providing strategic guidance in product design planning and architecture layout.
Earlier in his career, Prashant led teams at JP Morgan Chase in developing technology applications and critical IT processes for running the firm’s entire global business – from retail and commercial banking to asset management and investment banking. He also served as technology lead architect at Deloitte Consulting on projects such as reconfiguring the IT for unemployment insurance programs in Florida and California as well as for an incident management product that earned Prashant an award for best technology adaptation.
Jag Mandava: Jag is an IT expert with more than 15 years of experience developing and managing innovative technology products and re-engineering business processes for major enterprises in the mortgage banking, financial services, education, health care and insurance sectors. Before being appointed Chief Architect, he was Keyavi’s UI/UX Architect.
Among Jag’s new responsibilities will be managing an IT product development team, developing and implementing back-end components for software applications, designing software architecture, and ensuring the seamless release and administration of Keyavi’s product line.
Before joining Keyavi, Jag served in a variety of executive roles at JP Morgan Chase: as VP of mortgage banking technology, VP of data management & analytics and VP of digital technology. Earlier, he was a technology architect for a global fertility clinic and senior developer for a global insurance provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions.
