NEC de Colombia has chosen Smart Engines technology for the automatic reading of Peruvian identity documents to combine with NEC’s biometric identification technology in a Self-Boarding solution for a major fintech project in Peru.
Today, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, companies have been forced to offer onboarding services to implement safe and effective remote care processes for their customers. In this context, Smart Engines technology, is a key facilitator for an optimal user experience in the process of capturing document information from the customer’s mobile phone, which is necessary for self-registration processes (self-boarding). The application of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques by Smart Engines, offers a quick and accurate extraction of citizen data from identity documents, as well as offering the ability to verify the validity and integrity of the extracted data, resulting in a friendly, safe, and low-friction customer experience.
