Rig Security Emerges From Stealth to Define Identity Protection in the Agentic Era

Rig Security emerged from stealth with $12M in seed funding for its identity protection platform. Ten Eleven Ventures and Brightmind Partners co-led the round, with strategic participation from the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund and additional backing from cybersecurity founders and executives, including Wiz Co-Founder Ami Luttwak.

AI agents operate with unprecedented levels of speed and access, making identity one of the most vulnerable attack surfaces; roughly three in four breaches involve compromised identities, an even greater security challenge that enterprises face today. Visibility and posture are not sufficient to protect against this new form of identity. Security teams need a unified, real-time view of chained permissions and trust relationships across cloud, on-premises and identity-provider systems, and the ability to enforce policy as risk emerges.

Every enterprise has spent two decades deciding which people may touch which systems. The question has changed: which AI agents are using those people’s access and sessions right now, and what are they doing with it. Coding assistants, autonomous agents and automation tools do not log in as themselves. They borrow the identity of the human owner or service account that launched them – so in the identity provider, the audit log and the SIEM, an agent deleting a production database looks exactly like the person who owns the account.

Rig was built to close this gap. The platform discovers AI agents running on endpoints, distinguishes their activity from the human or machine identity they are operating through, enforces policy on what they may do, and connects every action back to a single graph of who – or what – holds access across cloud, on-premises and identity-provider environments. Security teams get one place to see identity risk, reduce excess access with confidence, and detect and stop identity-based attacks, whether the actor is an employee, a service account or an agent.

What they cannot see is whether a person did it or an agent did, and they cannot stop the agent without blocking the person. The problem is access that is broader than intended, ungoverned, and hiding behind human activity. We built Rig so organizations can unleash AI securely: know exactly which agents exist, what access they have borrowed right now, what they are doing with it, and enforce policy on it at runtime.”

How it works: ML + AI-based engines, adaptively rebuilding the foundation

RICE: Rig Identity Correlation Engine

Built by a Harvard alumni research team and currently in patent process, RICE is Rig’s proprietary identity-correlation engine. Using novel machine-learning and mathematical-modeling methods, it resolves the same identity across identity providers, cloud infrastructure, on-premises systems, network edges and endpoints with more than 96% accuracy.*

RICE is the foundation of Rig’s Identity Dependencies Graph: a live map of how human, machine and AI identities are connected through accounts, permissions, sessions and trust relationships, and how those relationships can be abused. The underlying research has produced 5 inventions.

Rig’s Lightweight Endpoint Sensor

Rig sees identity activity where it originates: on the device. It tells an AI agent’s session apart from the user’s own and enforces policy inline. That means it can block a rogue or misused agent’s risky action before it reaches the cloud, without disrupting the person whose identity the agent borrowed.

Together, these capabilities enable Rig to deliver Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM) and Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) across AI and non-human identities from one platform. Rig deploys agentlessly in minutes, providing visibility across cloud, on-premises and identity-provider environments. Organizations can then deploy Rig’s lightweight endpoint sensor where needed to add runtime attribution and policy enforcement, distinguishing AI agent activity from the human or machine identity it operates through.

Customer momentum

Rig is already in production with Fortune 200 organizations across financial services, insurance, healthcare and technology, and is available on the AWS Marketplace and the CrowdStrike Marketplace. Rig Security was named one of two runners-up in the 2025 Amazon Web Services (AWS) and CrowdStrike Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator, presented in collaboration with the NVIDIA Inception program for startups. The company today protects tens of millions of identity activities and has grown to 20 employees.

Investment by the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund and Wiz leadership

Before founding Rig, Kozliner was a member of Ami Luttwak’s team at Wiz, where the company pioneered the graph-based approach that reshaped cloud security. Luttwak, Wiz’s Co-Founder and CTO, is now an investor in Rig. The CrowdStrike Falcon Fund also joined the round.
