Nexus Launches “Factory” for AI Solutions

Artificial intelligence (AI) solutions firm Nexus FrontierTech announced the launch of their AI Factory programme, aimed at helping businesses develop and deploy AI solutions effectively. Inspired by the concept of a conventional factory where products are manufactured at speed and scale, the programme enables businesses to kickstart their AI journey and progress from roadmap into proof of concepts in as little as three months.

The AI Factory programme includes a thorough assessment of a business’s processes and functions and, identification of potential AI opportunities, before proceeding with pilot development, deployment and evaluation of the customer’s selected AI solution.

“If you consider a package from consulting or Proof-of-Concept service providers, our AI Factory programme adds on both development of an AI roadmap and delivering the actual solutions for our customers at scale and speed, just like a physical factory,” said Derrick Liao, regional director and head of growth at Nexus.

According to a 2018 McKinsey survey, while AI adoption is increasing, some key challenges persist. These include lack of strategy around AI deployment and a lack of talent with the requisite skills for AI solutions. The survey also found functional silos to be a top constraint to scalability of AI solutions in businesses.

Businesses today face a need to embrace digital transformation in order to remain viable market participants. Enabled by technologies such as IoT, AI and cloud, businesses that successfully adopt digital solutions stand to enjoy reduced costs, greater work efficiency and increased revenue.

“Most businesses we have spoken with are keen to innovate, but do not know where or how to start. They spend many months debating the most appropriate use case, or trying to determine the value of AI, but end up going in circles,” he added.

The programme also offers leadership training sessions to ensure that their customers’ organisations are thoroughly ready for innovation. All of AI Factory’s assets, from methodology knowledge to production will be sharable and marketable for customers as well.

“Change management and knowledge transfer are easily overlooked factors in the digitisation journey. We share these assets as indication of our commitment to help our customers achieve long-term success,” said Danny Goh, CEO of Nexus FrontierTech.

The firm’s multi-disciplinary team of more than 100 researchers and practitioners has developed solutions for clients in the UK, Japan, Vietnam and the Middle East since 2015, including an AI-based licence application process for Abu Dhabi Global Markets (ADGM).
