Knoema Announces Acquisition of Seek Data to Expand Data Analytics Solutions Across New Industries

Knoema, the premier data platform which makes data discoverable and actionable,  announced the acquisition of Seek Data, a leading cloud data and analytics consultancy across industries, including retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG).The onboarding of Seek Data’s analytics professionals and engineers will accelerate Knoema’s goal to meet end-user demand for solutions that are tailored to specific industry verticals, starting with retail and CPG. Effective immediately, Erik Mitchell will join the Knoema team full-time as Chief Strategy Officer overseeing commercial and product strategy at the combined firm.

Since receiving investments from Eldridge and Snowflake Ventures, Knoema has transitioned from being a data provider with comprehensive data sets in the Snowflake Marketplace to a leading Gartner categorized Data Hub. Through this acquisition, Knoema will also look to a more integrated partnership with Snowflake by turning the Seek Data Retail and CPG Hub into a series of applications that will run natively on the Snowflake Data Cloud’s Native Apps framework.
