With today’s release, Azure customers have access to:
- Redis 6.0, the most recent release offering new security and operational capabilities
- 99.99% availability with Azure’s Multi-AZ deployment
- Scaling to multi-terabyte datasets with up to 70% memory cost reduction with Redis on Flash’s intelligent memory tiering
- New capabilities with Redis modules:
- RediSearch – enables users to seamlessly index, query, and search in their existing Redis datasets at the speed of Redis
- RedisTimeSeries – allows for real-time monitoring, filtering and IoT use cases with native integration with Grafana
- RedisBloom – includes a set of probabilistic data-structures to support use cases like ad-serving, authentication, and leaderboards with a fraction of the memory footprint
“Today’s release of Redis Enterprise’s on Azure Cache on Redis gives developers an exciting preview of the applications they will be able to build using this service,” said Yiftach Shoolman, Co-Founder and CTO at Redis Labs. “Through our joint development with Microsoft, we’ve created a truly unique, native managed service that will enable enterprises in building real-time applications over the Redis Enterprise tiers. We’re most excited to already see our joint customers expand their Redis use cases through modules, achieving better service-level agreements with Azure Multi-AZ deployments and extremely attractive total cost of ownership with Redis on Flash, and only expect this to grow among Azure developers in the public preview.”
