Offering Aggregates Market-Ready Solutions, Enabling Partners to Scale Analytics and Internet of Things (IoT) Applications
Tech Data launched its new Analytics and IoT Solution Catalog, featuring over 30 market-ready, vetted solutions with proven outcomes for specific use cases in healthcare, industrial, retail, transportation and logistics, and smart cities—among other vertical markets. The Analytics and IoT Solution Catalog is the output of comprehensive vetting and aggregation of complete solutions using Tech Data’s Solution Factory methodology. The Solution Factory starts at the concept level by placing technology in the context of addressing a specific business issue. The solution then goes through a reference architecture, rigorous testing, specific functional requirements, and finally customer-centric use case and repeatability identification.
In conjunction with the launch of the Solution Catalog, Tech Data is also announcing an enablement program for approximately 200 partners in North America and Europe. This program offers a structured and accelerated path to transform their businesses and deepen their specialization in analytics and IoT.
This Intel- and Microsoft-sponsored program leverages Tech Data’s Practice Builder methodology. Under the program, selected partners are invited to undergo a readiness assessment, followed by a strategy development workshop and subsequent build period of 90 days, after which they will be ready to take their analytics and IoT solutions to market. The business strategy workshops of this Tech Data Practice Builder program are supported by Lemon Operations, a leading business transformation firm, which specializes in enabling IT channel partners to grow new revenue streams in emerging technology segments.
“Some of the main challenges in executing analytics and IoT solutions are that they are both often highly customized to solve a specific customer business problem and are complex in nature. The ability to scale is very important in realizing revenue from these solutions,” said Patrick Zammit, president, Europe, and global analytics and IoT solutions, at Tech Data. “With Tech Data’s Solution Catalog and our series of strategy development workshops, we are facilitating repeatable solutions and outcomes for partners to help them quickly enter the analytics and IoT market and generate repeatable sales as they become their clients’ go-to resource for state-of-the-art, industry-specific solutions.”
Tech Data is focused on vertical use cases to generate a significant market opportunity and justify investment for its vendors, partners and end users. Additionally, partners can focus on specific use cases to address their clients’ demands for multi-vendor solutions that provide measurable business value. As a result, the catalog alleviates the heavy lift of advancing a practice—all from one accessible resource.
“Tech Data’s new Solution Catalog and series of workshops are empowering partners by providing the knowledge, tools and resources they need to help customers identify and deploy repeatable IoT and analytics solutions,” said Nicole Denil, general manager, IoT Sales, at Microsoft. “Partners who take advantage of these vetted solutions and in-depth training will be better able to help customers drive business transformation and expedite time to value.”
“We are excited to sponsor this program with Tech Data, with the goal of championing analytics and IoT solution-selling into the marketplace,” said Rod O’Shea, global partner director, IoT, at Intel. “We believe that Tech Data’s Practice Builder program and workshops will put resellers and system integrators in a better position to build profitable and sustainable analytics and IoT practices.”
