Philips Professional Display Solutions Launches the Industry’s First AR Configurator

New Augmented Reality App Lets Users Bridge the Space Between Design Concept and Final Installation

Philips Professional Display Solutions (Philips PDS), the market-leading digital display solutions provider, announced its U.S. release of the industry’s first Augmented Reality Configurator (ARc) app at InfoComm 2019. The game-changing app offers users the ability to recreate how Philips PDS signage displays would look on any size and type of wall, delivering the insight system integrators, installer and display customers need to select the optimal model and screen size.

“ARc is a great example of the work our teams are doing to inspire and lead innovation in the AV marketplace. We’ve been blown away by the positive feedback we’ve received from our partners since we launched the app”

The ARc app has a fully functional augmented reality toolkit that can be accessed via a connected tablet or smartphone. By using the device’s camera, the app captures and measures the selected space and allows users to see which models and screen size will deliver the best results for their businesses by showing selected models mounted on the virtual wall right in front of them. The app can even automatically populate the space with multiple screens, allowing users to configure a full video wall with the click of a button.
