Mailchain Integration with Tezos Brings Web3 Communication to Developers, DAOs and Creators
Mailchain, the communication layer for Web3, has launched its integration with Tezos, the leading self-upgradable and energy-efficient Proof of Stake blockchain. The integration enables the Tezos community, projects, developers and platforms to privately communicate with any Web3 identities or blockchain addresses using Tezos addresses or Tezos domains (.tez).
The Tezos ecosystem is supported by a vibrant and growing community of developers, entrepreneurs, and users who are working to build a wide range of decentralized applications and services on top of the network. These include NFT platforms, governance tools, Web3 games and many others. Mailchain introduces the opportunity for the community to connect and deepen relationships, whether it’s peer-to-peer or project-to-community, through web3-native communication. With Mailchain’s web3 inbox and SDK anyone in the Tezos ecosystem can now communicate .tez to .tez.

The Mailchain communication protocol works alongside other blockchain protocols to enable 1:1, 1:many, and group end-to-end encrypted communication, using native Web3 identities and wallet addresses. It handles identity, addressing, encrypted data storage, message transport functions, and offers some additional safety and privacy features to its users, for example, sender verification and self-sovereign data ownership.
Mailchain’s support for Tezos provides developers with access to powerful and secure communication through the Mailchain SDK. Application developers can easily integrate the open-source Mailchain SDK into their decentralized applications. The SDK removes any complex operations, handling name resolution, sign, verify, encrypt, and decrypt functions in just a few lines of code.

“We are excited to introduce a critical function to enable creators and communities in Tezos to connect and communicate in a Web3-native way.” said Tim Boeckmann, CEO of Mailchain. “With Mailchain, Tezos developers can keep their users and communities up to date, and users can communicate securely and privately. We believe that this integration will play an important role in driving further adoption of the Tezos network and will unlock new capabilities.”
“Mailchain’s communication protocol enriches the overall ecosystem by delivering much-needed encrypted messaging capabilities, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about this integration,” said Andrew Paulicek, founder of the Tezos Domains. “As we look forward to the Tezos Domains DAO launch, this partnership opens up innovative channels of interaction for our users. It will not only facilitate private and secure communications between .tez identities, but also foster greater community cohesion and engagement, which is critical in driving the success of our decentralized network. This truly marks an important step in the continual growth and development of the Tezos community, and we are excited for what the future holds.”
