Richard Maaghul, Chief Executive Officer of ODEM, the world’s leading On-Demand Education Marketplace, will speak on Sept. 20 at the #Switch! technology, information, and entrepreneurship conference in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Maaghul will kick off the conference’s education program with a keynote speech on the Blockchain Technology Revolution in the Education Sector. In addition, Dr. Adel ElMessiry, ODEM’s Chief Technology Mentor, will provide an update on development of the ODEM Platform, the company’s blockchain-based education portal to empower students to interact with educators to create exceptional learning experiences.

Blockchain technology, the encryption system that underlays digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, is reshaping how people think about delivering education and securely storing transcripts and other records of academic achievement.

ODEM is focused on using blockchain and smart contracts to address hurdles that students face in acquiring a great education. ODEM’s mission is to make education more accessible, affordable, portable and verifiable. The ODEM Platform will deliver in-person, online and blended academic programs. #Switch! is the largest non-profit conference in the Baltic States centered on entrepreneurship, information, communication and technology. More than 15,000 participants are expected at this year’s edition for speeches and discussions focused on blockchain technology, initial coin offerings, artificial intelligence, and cyber security.
