For instance, Prague, capital city of the Czech Republic, tops the list ahead of tech savvy San Francisco. Prague has a whopping 154 venues, including 12 ATMs that are supportive of the leading cryptocurrency.

Though it may not come as a surprise to see the likes of London and New York within the top ten, Buenos Aires outranks both capital cities, claiming 2nd place with 130 separate venues.

Known for its picturesque mountains and endless number of ski resorts, rural Vienna may not spring to mind; however, it takes 9th place.

Perhaps one of the most surprising stats is the distinct lack of Chinese and Japanese cities that make it into the top ten. Tokyo is often hailed as a technology paradise yet has failed to adopt Bitcoin as quickly as European cities.

Meanwhile, China doesn’t get a look in despite the ever-increasing popularity of NEO, which remains one of the leading cryptocurrencies on Coin Market Cap and is often dubbed “Chinese Ethereum”.
