  • Improved scheduling optimization due to more accurate forecasts and AI powered labor optimization resulting in almost $6.1M in savings (46% of the savings)
  • Reduction in employee turnover rate by empowering employees to own their schedules and providing them with modern communication tools leading to cost savings of $3.6 million (27% of the savings) due to a more engaged workforce
  • Increased manager productivity as a result of automating key tasks with AI, leading to more than $4.2M in labor cost savings (31%)

In addition to the quantified benefits, the study also highlights several unquantified but crucial benefits that Legion WFM offers organizations, including improved employee engagement; increased manager-driven sales contributions; unlocked revenue through appropriate staffing and stronger compliance with complex local guidelines.

One interviewed Legion customer said, “[Legion forecasting] enables us to reallocate labor to where we need it so we’re able to schedule more efficiently and make sure that we get labor to the right store on the right day at the right time.”

By using advanced technologies like AI and machine learning, the Legion WFM platform accurately forecasts demand to optimize and automate scheduling and increase manager productivity. The platform also empowers employees, providing them with more control over their schedules by making it easy to swap or pick-up shifts via the Legion WFM mobile app.

Another interviewed customer said, “There’s not an employee that’s not in love with Legion, and especially the app because [employees] didn’t have that visibility and ability to start seeing what other shifts are available themselves instead of asking a manager before.”

To conduct the study, Forrester Consulting interviewed four Legion customers to assess the costs, benefits, risks, and opportunities associated with using Legion WFM. The firm then designed a composite organization and financial model based on those interviews to construct a framework for prospective customers to evaluate the potential financial impact of Legion WFM on their organizations.
