The globalization of digital supply chains, coupled with the complexities of modern manufacturing logistics, make it increasingly difficult for businesses to trace the origin and safety of the components within their devices. With reports of firmware attacks rising rapidly in recent years — more than 500% since 2018, according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) — supply chain risk is a growing concern for organizations globally.
