“My heart has always been with the community bankers who keep the state of Texas, and this nation, running, and now, more than ever, I am seeing bankers who are desirous of doing business with providers they can trust,” said Wanda Stevens, Director of Business Development at Checkpoint Capital. “I have total trust in Checkpoint’s offering of full disclosure and transparency pricing for fixed income trading and am so excited to be able to share this value proposition with community bankers.”

Checkpoint Capital CEO Billy Weber said, “Our transparency model can benefit the banks by mitigating the deleterious effects of Covid-19 on the economy and on past current and future policy. Flooding the banks with liquidity means every basis point counts, and price transparency is paramount to maximize yield. In the community banking business, price is not something talked about, instead its yield. But it is really pricing that matters. To make transparent the purchase price to maximize earnings is prudent in this new paradigm we live in. We are very proud to have Wanda onboard and look forward to her continued success.”

Checkpoint Capital’s affordable institutional buyside technology provides fixed income price transparency to community banks and credit unions aimed at strengthening and enhancing their portfolio management process and maximizing income. Its offering enables access to the types of fixed income investment opportunities utilized by many of the world’s largest financial institutions.

Ms. Stevens added, “Transparency in pricing is not regulated for financial industry clients as it is for retail clients. Bankers are savvy, intelligent businessmen and women but they can only make decisions based upon information provided to them. When that information is controlled, and quite frankly, not totally transparent, then decisions are made based upon lack of information. Yet Checkpoint is an open book. Transparency is long overdue for Community Bankers and will be a welcomed offering for the industry.”
