SportsIcon, a new sports-focused NFT platform, today announced the launch of ICONS, a cryptocurrency token used to purchase NFT’s on their platform. In addition, the company has announced an exclusive partnership with Brazilian soccer star Roberto Carlos, bringing NFTs of the legendary FIFA World Cup-winner to the platform.

SportsIcon’s NFTs with Roberto Carlos, considered one of the greatest players ever at his position, feature iconic footage plus original content curated in collaboration with the star. Digital artists then add an additional, creative element to create one-of-a-kind, inalterable digital memorabilia. Carlos’ collectible NFTs are being released on the anniversary of his iconic free-kick for the Brazilian national team on June 3, 1997, one of the most memorable moments in international soccer history.
