Emex, the leading ESG technology provider, continues to bolster its executive team with experienced and industry-respected technology operations lead 

Leading ESG technology provider Emex has appointed Michael Lazor to a newly created role as VP of Technology Operations to its global leadership team. The move is part of Emex’s ambitious growth strategy aimed at disrupting the sustainability space in 2022.

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer Richard Wall, Lazor brings over 25 years of experience in software engineering, development, and product innovation to Emex. He has worked in and advised businesses all over the world – most notably in the US, Europe, and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Emex, Michael founded Spline Software in 1996, growing the company into a world-leading software consultancy with over 100 staff and offices in Ukraine, the Netherlands, and Germany. Spline was then acquired by EPAM Systems in 2007.

Joining the team at EPAM Systems as Head of Delivery Processes, Michael spent the next 11 years problem solving for the some of the world’s biggest businesses including Barclays Capital, Canadian Tire and many other Fortune 500 companies.  This included pre-sale activities, recruitment, and team building, leading the core executive team, product delivery, lead conversion, and key client management. In 2018, Michael founded his second business, SPsoft, a boutique product development company, aimed at helping clients build out their product-based businesses. SPsoft continues to be a trusted tech partner to the world’s leading enterprises and start-ups alike.

At Emex, Michael will be responsible for building and leading the software development team, as well as delivering a market-leading and disrupting sustainability data platform. A key focus will be building out Emex’s product design and management capabilities. Emex’s ultimate goal is to improve clients’ and partners’ abilities to make informed, future-proofed decisions on their sustainability strategies.

Michael Lazor’s hire follows the appointment of four senior leads since September 2021 as part of Emex’s ambitious expansion plans – APAC & MENA CEO Sarah Saha, CRO Rich Waller, CMO Hugh Allspaugh and Senior Biodiversity Officer Elodie Russier-Decoster. Emex plans to continue to grow its global team by more than 150 people in 2022.
