Kyruus Acquisition of HealthSparq from Cambia Health Solutions Provides Unparalleled Digital Access Platform to Connect People to the Right Care for Their Needs
Kyruus, the leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for health systems, and HealthSparq, a trailblazing healthcare guidance and transparency technology company serving health plans announced they are joining forces to lead the next wave of transformation around how people navigate healthcare. HealthSparq will become part of Kyruus, accelerating a groundbreaking platform to connect payer and provider organizations and enabling people to find and schedule with the right providers seamlessly across access channels.
Kyruus is acquiring HealthSparq from Cambia Health Solutions, a family of more than 20 companies working to make healthcare more economically sustainable and efficient for people and their families. As part of Cambia, HealthSparq has grown to serve more than 80 million health plan members nationwide through its digital solutions. Cambia will have an ownership stake and a seat on the Kyruus Board of Directors.

“Since Kyruus’ founding, we’ve been committed to making healthcare work better for everyone by connecting people to the care they need and we’re honored that so many health systems have trusted us to power their patient access initiatives,” said Graham Gardner, MD, CEO of Kyruus. “As we explored how to serve patients further, it was clear that bridging provider and payer access points could have an enormous impact on care access and coordination. We are thrilled to welcome the HealthSparq team and pursue a shared vision of empowering our customers and those they serve with modern care search and scheduling experiences.”
Jared Short, President and Chief Operating Officer for Cambia Health Solutions, echoed the benefits of breaking down silos in healthcare and transforming the system. “Cambia has always known we would need strategically aligned partners to further our mission to transform healthcare for people and their families,” said Short. “HealthSparq has been a critical transparency tool for health plans, and Kyruus and HealthSparq together have the opportunity to accelerate innovation and growth to serve even more people nationwide. Cambia is pleased to continue to be a part of it.”
Together, Kyruus and HealthSparq serve more than 60 health systems and 100 health plan brands nationwide. The companies have already started working together in select markets to enhance health plan directories with provider-verified data and enable online scheduling from health plan websites. Combining operations will accelerate the integration of their platforms, enabling health plans to link personalized insurance benefit and cost information with rich provider data, while allowing health systems to tap into health plan websites as a new patient engagement source. Over time, the unified platform will facilitate increasingly sophisticated patient routing and matching across channels – all while giving people the convenience of online scheduling wherever they look for care.
