What Lockheed Martin, MAXAR and Geollect have to Say About AWS Cloud Solutions for Space Tech Exploration

Lockheed Martin, Geollect and MAXAR Technologies are partnering with AWS Cloud in creating the massive canvas of “space tech” masterpiece.

Earlier today, we shared a news update about Amazon Web Services (AWS) announcing the cloud solutions business segment exclusively for space technology market. The new business segment called The Aerospace and Satellite Solutions would cater to the public as well as private players involved in space exploration and space engineering projects, including Lunar and Martian missions.

AWS has been among the top 3 Cloud platforms for the last 5 years, and it continues to drive major innovations in Cloud data management engineering, such as Data lakes and storage, Core and Edge Computing, AI and Machine Learning, and Security. With a newly energized boost into the satellite communications industry brought about by the arrival of 5G, IoT, Robotics, image processing, and Geospatial intelligence and analytics, AWS sees itself as a major player in the next phase of the privately-driven space tech industry. Virtual missions and lunar landing expeditions are already on the cards, and AWS solutions for space tech players could help further accelerate and refine space-based missions.

Rick added, “Lockheed Martin’s innovation focus is driven by tomorrow’s space missions. We’ve supported missions to every planet, participated in every U.S. Mars mission and built hundreds of satellites, from GPS to weather. Together, we share a vision to help our customers access data faster, and gain new insights from sensors in space that make data even more accessible.”
