Adobe’s Latest $20 B Figma Deal Resets the Digital Experiences Economy

The Figmal deal is finally confirmed. Adobe’s latest acquisition news could completely transform the future of digital experiences. The tech behemoth officially announced it has entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire Figma for $20 billion USD. The deal comes within months of another massive acquisition of gaming experience technology platform, Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. The $69 billion deal is already raking controversies in the UK where Microsoft failed to “offer any remedies during the preliminary investigation because the CMA typically prefers significant concessions in the first phase”, as per sources in Reuters.

Upon the closing of the transaction, Dylan Field, Figma’s co-founder and CEO, will continue to lead the Figma team, reporting to David Wadhwani, president of Adobe’s Digital Media business.
