Ignition Commerce Launches Salesforce SFRA Migration Program
Customers Report 70% faster page loads and 73% increase in Session Duration
Ignition Commerce, a certified Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) integrator with over 70 multi-channel retail and e-commerce integrations, announced its Salesforce Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) migration program, designed to help multichannel retailers and eCommerce businesses swiftly move digital storefronts from the SiteGenesis architecture to one that is easier to build, maintain, and update. The program offers a fixed implementation cost and timeline with project completion in as little as 10 weeks.
SFRA mobile-optimized architecture helps desktop, mobile, and tablet shoppers enjoy an enhanced experience with faster page loads, less wait time, and better user experience. Unlike SiteGenesis, which uses proprietary Salesforce coding requiring special expertise, SFRA uses the popular Javascript as its primary programming language. Ignition Commerce customers that have upgraded from SiteGenesis report 70% faster page loads, a 1% increase in total conversions, triple digit year over year mobile conversion and a 73% increase in session duration.

“COVID-19 has created a seismic shift in consumer purchasing behavior as more shoppers are looking online for new products,” said Matt Carroll, president and CEO of Ignition Commerce. “There has never been a more critical time for retailers to upgrade their website architecture in order to accelerate site speed and checkout, improve mobile accessibility, and simplify integration of third-party services to quickly enable new customer functionality to remain competitive.”

As part of the migration program, retailers leverage Ignition Commerce’s proprietary reference architecture that utilizes assets from previous deployments to inform future implementations. The highly repeatable process allows the company to offer fixed-cost implementations in less time, with greater functionality, and maximum reliability.
Additionally, retailers can implement Ignition Commerce’s Retail Extension Salesforce Terminal (REST) as part of the migration with little impact to timeframe. The REST application improves collaboration between online and in-store experiences by extending eCommerce capabilities closer to the end-user with tablet-enabled point-of-sale (POS) software. This offers retailers a host of new applications including store queue management, BOPIS, curbside pick-up and returns, shop-on-behalf, and in-store shipping functionality.
