Pinterest Introduces Idea Pins Globally to Build an Engaged Community
Pinterest Also Launches New Creator Discovery Features
Pinterest has announced the launch of Idea Pins for their 475 million Pinners. The launch of Idea Pins would enable users to engage with the video and explore content directly on Pinterest. The multi-page video format would be available to all creators in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
What Are Idea Pins?
Pinterest launched Story Pins in beta in September 2020, allowing access to a small group of Pinners. In the last 8 months, Story Pins has evolved into a full-blown multi-video format, becoming a unique product for Pinterest marketing teams. The latest product includes new features and functionalities against a long-term vision that is completely unique to what’s out in the market, Idea Pins.
Now, creators will have a suite of new publishing tools including, video-first features, fresh editing tools, and updates to make creating Idea Pins easier and more creative. Idea Pins provides new access and capability to empower anyone with a business account. Users can create inspiring content to better interact with their audiences. The aim of this platform is to build more engaged communities directly on Pinterest.

Introducing Creator Code
In addition to the Idea Pins, Pinterest has also announced the launch of Creator Code. Creator Code is Pinterest’s content policy designed to keep Pinterest a positive and inspiring place. Creators would be prompted to accept Creator Code policies before publishing Idea Pins.
It is a critical step in our journey to build a positive experience that adds lasting value to the lives of more than 450 million users around the world.
