SAP.iO Foundry Tel Aviv Program Eyes Emerging Israeli Tech Startups
SAP’s strategic business unit to incubate startup innovation, SAP.iO Foundry has announced its next stage of startup acceleration program. SAP.iO is targeting the Israeli tech ecosystem to drive the next stage development, innovation and expansion of emerging technologies in analytics, mobility and commerce. SAP.iO Foundry has united with E.ON and Israel Electric Corporation (both SP customers) for the upcoming Tel Aviv technology startup acceleration program.

Any startup can participate in the incubation program, provided they have developed an Enterprise software for these markets:
Retail & Prosumer – Retail platforms that allow new services and business models like:
- Peer-to-peer trading;
- E-Mobility including charging, fleet management and financial processes;
- Home energy management including energy usage insights and consumption control;
- echnologies that support Virtual Power Plants.
Enterprise Asset Management – Drive upgrades while holding down costs with advanced asset management including asset health and predictive maintenance.
Intel And VMware Extend Virtualization To Radio Access Network For 5G
Generation & Renewables – Support management of changing generation, storage capabilities and maximizing coverage and capture of energy from renewable sources.
Transmission & Distribution – Advanced analytics that optimize loss management, drive operational efficiency and performance optimization through advanced distribution management systems, advanced device management and connectivity capabilities.
A three month program, the upcoming SAP.iO Foundry Tel Aviv startup incubation is designed to accelerate innovation and drive new business models specifically for SAP’s customers. Other than Tel Aviv, the startup acceleration program also identifies players in other parts of the world, including in Paris, Berlin, Munich, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Tokyo and Bangalore.
At the time of this announcement, Lior Weizman, Director of SAP.iO Foundry Tel Aviv in Israel said,

Both E.ON Innovation and IEC will be involved in the selection process of the startups and have the opportunity to access first-hand the latest innovation available in the market through potential beta-sites for pilots.
