SOC 3 reports are attestations that confirm compliance to the same criteria– the SSAE 18 standard, specifically sections AT-C 105 and 205 — governed by the AICPA. The examination, which covered the period from April 1, 2019 to October 31, 2019, established that M-Files met the accounting body’s rigorous trust-services standards both in fulfilling its service obligations to clients and establishing requirements for the system it used to meet those obligations, including technologies and internal procedures.

“SOC for Service Organizations reports assess service providers’ security controls and their ability to meet vendor-management requirements,” said Arto Vahvanen, director of product management, M-Files. “It is one of more than a dozen compliance standards that our products and services adhere to.”
