Zoom Announces New Feature Updates to Streamline Mass Communications with Expanded Capabilities

To keep up with the growing demands of Mass Communications, global tech enabler Zoom has announced a battery of new feature updates. These updates include;

Zoom Meetings for Mass Communication

New Annotation Tools

Zoom has released a new annotation tool called ‘Vanishing Pen’ for its Windows, macOS, Linux users. The tool allows a user to mark pointers on the shared screen and highlight important information. These markings fade out automatically within 2 seconds. Users can also create auto-shapes for whiteboard annotation in addition to creating straight lines, rectangles, and ovals when annotating on the Zoom mobile apps (only on tablets).

Superior Sound Experience

User will now experience a better sound designation for its ON / OFF modes that have been enhanced to ensure in-meeting / webinar participants have control on their fingertips.

Additional mass communication enhancements to Zoom Meetings include Screen sharing Zoom windows to allow Zoom windows to be seen during the share while Zoom windows can be minimized.

Data Privacy

Zoom has enhanced its Server Certificate alerts for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS. These would allow users to quickly view certificates for faster troubleshooting. With enhanced data privacy notices users would be prompted in advance before they share any information for polling, Q&A, chat, whiteboard, closed captioning, and others.

For deactivated users, there is good news. Presenters can no longer search for deactivated users unless there is a chat history. For convenience’s sake, deactivated users would be pushed to the bottom of the Zoom contact list / group for better team management.

Data Retrieval on Zoom

This is an entirely admin-defined function. Users can restore and edit their soft-deleted history, voicemail, or recording within 30 days. Otherwise, it will be permanently deleted from the account. This feature needs to be enabled by Zoom.

Zoom on Play TV and InformaCast

For superior team meeting experience, Zoom has worked with Facebook to bring its platform to Play TV. Now, bring your colleagues and chat members to the big screen.

How Are AI And ML Making A Difference In Marketing And Sales?

Zoom has brought in the services of Singlewire Software to trigger mass message notifications using InformaCast. On the other hand, it has also empowered the users with enhanced support for the Hang-up button on USB HID devices. Users can reject an incoming call or decline notification of an inbound call in the future.
