Zype Announces New SVP of Sales to Drive Company Growth

Zype, the infrastructure for digital video, named Andrew Leighton as the new Senior Vice President of Sales. Leighton joins Zype with over two decades of streaming sales experience in the enterprise media and entertainment industry and will focus on scaling Zype’s sales organization to meet the ever-increasing demand for its award-winning, API-first streaming video infrastructure software.

Leighton previously held leading sales roles at a variety of successful streaming organizations including early and mid-stage startups. Prior to joining Zype, Leighton was the VP of Sales, North America at You.i TV, a software provider for Tier 1 media and entertainment companies developing cross-platform video apps. Before his time at You.i TV, Leighton was a large contributor to the success of thePlatform / Comcast Technology Solutions, an industry-leading video content management platform, where he oversaw and developed their Eastern Region business and secured contracts with many of their largest customers. Leighton began his career in digital media at Globix, where he was Senior Director of Business Development and helped the company become an early internet and streaming giant.
