Uvitron International Creates Speedy Solutions for Optical Fiber Lasers

Helps Massachusetts-based IPG Photonics for more than seven years

Uvitron International, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of high-performance UV light curing systems and accessories, has created fast and long-lasting solutions for fellow Massachusetts company IPG Photonics, a manufacturer of optical fiber lasers based in Oxford.

IPG was looking for a UV curing partner to replace their supplier out of Germany, whose distance caused issues with reliability and lead times for replacement parts and new curing units. While researching local companies, an IPG engineer discovered Uvitron and was impressed with their capabilities and reassured by their nearby location.

Seven years later, the partnership is still going strong. “We value the long-term relationships we are able to build with our clients,” said Eugene Mikhaylichenko, Uvitron’s sales and marketing director. “IPG came to us with a supply and demand problem that was causing unacceptable production downtime. We are able to quickly get them the parts and service they need to keep their manufacturing going.”
