Intel’s Acquisition of Omnitek to Strengthen Its FPGA Video and Vision Offerings

Intel has acquired Omnitek, a leading Vision FPGA IP & video solutions company, for an u********** amount. Omnitek’s technology will help Intel in delivering high-performance AI & vision on FPGAs for its clients across global markets.Omnitek’s IP address solutions are currently in heavy adoption by industries such as –

• Video conferencing
• Projection and display
• Medical vision systems

Based out of Basingstoke, England, Omnitek was found in 1998 and has come a far way, to now, be acquired by  Intel, judged as the sixth largest brand in the world by Forbes.
