Kontakt.Io to Build Product on Atmosic’s Chipset, Entering New Wave of Ble Mass Adaption
Atmosic Technologies, innovator of ultra-low-power wireless for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced a strategic partnership with leading location data solution provider Kontakt.io. The collaboration brings Atmosic’s recently announced M2 and M3 wireless system-on-a-chips (SoCs) to Kontakt.io’s ecosystem for beacon and tag devices currently supplied to more than 20,000 customers and in one million devices across the globe.
Atmosic Technologies Partners with Kontakt.io to Enable Forever-Battery Beacons and Tags, Eliminating Costly Maintenance
“Atmosic Technologies has a vision of a battery-free world and we are partnering with Kontakt.io to lower the power barrier of the Internet of Things,” said Atmosic CEO, David Su. “Kontakt.io has an expansive reach of customers and partners around the globe, spanning industries like healthcare, enterprise, industrial, and food and pharma supply chains. We look forward to deploying our SoCs in Kontakt.io’s innovative products to radically reduce battery maintenance of IoT devices.”
Built on the Bluetooth 5 standards platform, Atmosic’s M2 and M3 series leverage Lowest Power Radio and On-demand Wake-up to enable 10 to 100 times lower power than comparable IoT solutions on the market. The M3 series features energy harvesting to enable forever battery life for IoT devices to be “Forever Connected, Anywhere.”
With this partnership, Kontakt.io can dramatically reduce maintenance costs and resources for recharging and replacing batteries in enterprise-class deployments worldwide. This breakthrough can lower the barrier to widespread implementation of location-based applications throughout a multitude of environments, including hospitals, retail stores, manufacturing plants and warehouses, office buildings, live event venues and more.
“Kontakt.io was founded with the objective of delivering business outcomes and transforming physical workflows with new sources of data. We understand that reduced maintenance and cost efficiencies are crucial to customers and partners deploying Kontakt.io products,” said Philipp von Gilsa, CEO at Kontakt.io. “Integrating Atmosic chipsets into our product lines will end the era of battery limitation. Small BLE beacons will now have power to broadcast location and telemetry forever.”
