Delta Electronics has signed a deal to acquire Amerlux LLC, a U.S.-based business that develops IoT-based Green Solutions for Smart Buildings and Cities. As a part of the acquisition, Delta Electronics will also gain control of 100% of Amerlux’s interests the company also provides LED architectural lighting solutions.

Amerlux’s purchase by Delta Electronics benefits the latter’s customers by a broader portfolio of IoT-enabled smart green solutions such as –

The raging trend of building smart, sustainable and ecological cities is a major driver of adoption of IoT capabilities in building design. Mergers and acquisitions such as this one, present a large platform wherein smart city concepts can become a reality at scale. The need for natural solutions in building design for heating, cooling and power supply can be addressed by integrating IoT into a smartly thought of building architecture and city layout.
