The AWS ISV Workload Migration Program provides Qumulo with funding, technical support, and go-to-market support to help enterprises move unstructured data workloads from on-premises storage to AWS. Customers benefit from reduced migration timelines and costs as they move those workloads to Cloud Native Qumulo on AWS.

Unstructured data is usually the last workload an enterprise moves to the cloud, because the applications that depend on it expect to find it where it has always been. Cloud Native Qumulo runs in the customer’s own AWS account and supports the same NFS, SMB, and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) access those applications already use, so the data can move without application rewrites and at up to 80 percent lower total cost of ownership than other cloud file services. Once the data lands, it is immediately usable for AI through Qumulo Cloud Data Fabric, which spans edge, core, and AWS without copying or syncing.

“Every enterprise I talk to wants its unstructured data on AWS, where AI tools and services are readily available. What stops them is the migration itself: the cost of it, and the rebuild it usually demands,” said Brandon Whitelaw, SVP and Head of Product at Qumulo. “That is what this program is for. AWS helps fund the move, and because the applications keep working exactly as they do today, the data is ready to use the moment it lands.”
