A Gartner report titled Hype Cycle for Natural Language Technologies, 2020 names Behavioral Signals as a Sample Vendor in Emotion AI. Analysts Bern Elliot, Anthony Mullen, Adrian Lee, and Stephen Emmott authored the report published on July 6, 2020.
The report classifies Emotion AI’s benefit rating as “transformational”, the highest rating in the Priority Matrix for Natural Language Technologies, 2020, with a five to ten-years to mainstream adoption rate. Natural language process (NLP), Large-Scale Pretrained Language Model, Natural Language Processing(NLP), and Natural Language Understanding also have similar adoption rates. Emotion AI technology is categorized as “on the rise” and according to the report, “Emotion AI technologies have already been adopted by various business functions in different industries, including call centers, PARs and high-end cars.”
Behavioral Signals excels at distinguishing behavioral signals in speech data with its proprietary deep learning technology. Call centers are a business sector that has adopted voice-based emotion AI for intelligent routing to increase better customer experience.
