The Latest Version GPT-4 Turbo By OpenAI
The latest version, GPT-4 Turbo
The latest version, GPT-4 Turbo, was previewed today at the company’s inaugural developer conference, OpenAI DevDay. At the company’s first developer conference, it unveiled an improved version of its main artificial intelligence model, GPT-4.
Many of your requests will be met in GPT 4 Turbo. Sam Altman announced the six main improvements made to the model.
One version of GPT-4 Turbo is designed only for text analysis, while the other is adept at understanding both text and pictures, and both are advertised as being more powerful and cost-effective than competing solutions. OpenAI hopes to make both versions publicly available via an API preview in the coming weeks.

The cost is $0.01 for every 1,000 tokens supplied and $0.03 for every 1,000 tokens output. GPT-4 Turbo image processing costs will change by the dimensions of the input picture. Compared to GPT-4, the input and output token prices for GPT-4 Turbo are much lower thanks to the company’s optimization efforts.
GPT-4 Turbo’s Features
We’re as frustrated as you are, if not more so, that GPT-4’s encyclopedic knowledge of the world came to an end in the year 2021. Never again do we want it to be so antiquated,” Altman said. With Altman’s ongoing upkeep, the GPT will be current through April of 2023.
This larger-than-market-standard context window is designed to help the chatbot give more relevant replies and stay on topic. The model also has a new “JSON mode” for proper JSON answers, which is especially helpful in online applications and specialized contexts.

As Altman put it, “We’ve heard loud and clear that developers need more control over the models, reactions, and outputs. As such, we’ve included a brand-new feature called JSON that checks to make sure the model only reacts to proper JSON. Clean APIs will be considerably simpler to implement.
Updates to the Program and Costs
At the same time, OpenAI announced the beginning of an experimental access program for honing GPT-4; because of the technological complexities involved, more supervision and direction would be needed. Pricing for models with various context window widths will remain at $0.03 per input token and $0.06 per output token while increasing the tokens-per-minute rate limit for paying GPT-4 clients. The firm is dedicated to ensuring that both GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo are constantly updated and improved to serve the requirements of software engineers and end users.
The GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 knowledge bases have also been upgraded, and OpenAI has announced expanded training contexts. Through its Copyright Shield program, the corporation has also committed to providing legal indemnification for enterprise users who may face legal claims related to copyright infringement.
