BetterCloud Recognized in Gartner’s Market Guide for SaaS Management Platforms
Bettercloud Recognized as a Representative Vendor in SaaS Management Platforms for Second Consecutive Year
BetterCloud, the leading SaaS Operations Management platform, announced it has been included as a Representative Vendor in Market Guide for SaaS Management Platforms report for a second year in a row. The report outlines the challenges organizations face in managing SaaS applications, and attributes of Representative Vendors providing offerings in the market, to give further insight into the market itself.
This year’s edition has been renamed “Market Guide for SaaS Management Platforms” in direct recognition of SaaS Management Platform as a category. In the report, Gartner analysts Manjunath Bhat and Chris Silva, expand the problem and market scope to address the challenges for IT and security teams in SaaS Enabled Workplaces. A complimentary version of the report can be found here.
According to the authors, “Organizations often encounter challenges in managing SaaS digital workplace applications such as Microsoft Office 365 and Google G Suite. Infrastructure and operations leaders who need to improve manageability and control should use SaaS management platforms.” They add, “security, compliance and policy management are the most common triggers to implement an SMP. These areas represent the most acute pain that will justify an investment.”
Analysts Bhat and Silva assert, “SMPs allow IT administrators to manage application policies, take corrective action, track application usage and automate IT administrative tasks.” They add, “Use an SMP to implement the necessary governance and administration to enable end-user adoption of SaaS functionality.”
The authors conclude that SMPs are a “New Category of End-User Administration Tools – SMPs are focused on managing the SaaS component of a user’s digital workplace.”
“SaaS application use in the enterprise is growing exponentially, making it more important than ever for companies to reign in and secure business-critical data,” said Shreyas Sadalgi, Chief Business Strategy Officer, BetterCloud. “We recognize that mass adoption will only continue, and our mission is to ensure companies achieve this transition with the proper controls and piece of mind. We are delighted to be included in Gartner’s new report and look forward to playing a key role in this next chapter of SaaS growth in the enterprise.”
