Netskope Named a Leader Again in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Access Security Brokers
Company positioned furthest for completeness of vision for second consecutive year
Netskope, the cloud security company, announced that Gartner, Inc. has recognized the company as a Leader in the 2018 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Access Security Brokers. In addition to its recognition as a Leader, Netskope is also positioned furthest for its completeness of vision. This is the second consecutive recognition as a Leader positioned furthest for completeness of vision for Netskope.
Gartner defines cloud access security brokers (CASBs) as “on-premises or cloud-based security policy enforcement points, placed between cloud service consumers and cloud service providers to combine and interject enterprise security policies as the cloud-based resources are accessed”.
“The rapid growth of enterprise cloud applications and cloud infrastructure like Amazon Web Services, Azure and Google Cloud Platform has made cloud security a top-of-mind concern for enterprise CISOs and CIOs around the world. The challenges presented by the cloud, however, necessitate a shift from legacy vendors toward a security cloud that was built from the ground up with the unique characteristics of the cloud in mind. This includes real-time visibility into and control over all cloud services, robust data loss prevention, the ability to prevent and remediate cloud threats, and enablement of granular dynamic access control that governs usage in real time for any user from any device across all cloud services,” said Sanjay Beri, founder and CEO, Netskope. “We are delighted to be recognized again as a Leader positioned furthest for completeness of vision and believe this recognition from Gartner validates our leading technology, “one-cloud” architecture, the breadth of our offering, and the long-term vision of our company.”
