Partnership Brings Advanced and Custom Gunshot Detection Technology to Market

Johnson Controls announced its partnership with EAGL Technology and Anixter to help customers better protect their facility occupants and streamline emergency response, leading to improved outcomes during intruder incidents. Working with Johnson Controls and EAGL Technology, customers have access to a greater range of technologies and more custom solutions, regardless of building size or goals.

This partnership expands Johnson Controls emergency preparedness and response portfolio and is a crucial part of the company’s response to COVID-19. In the midst of the pandemic, many major enterprises have closed or significantly reduced staff including schools, retail, theaters and more. The United States government-issued funding as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act has provided funding for enterprises who are able to install emergency preparedness and response products such as gunshot detection systems prior to reopening facilities. Customers with access to the CARES Act funding can add gunshot detection systems to their safety and security protocols during periods of low building occupancy rates.
