Arkose Labs, the global leader in bot management and account security, has appointed John Walsh as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer to lead the technology vision and capability strategy. Walsh is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and reports directly to founder and CEO Kevin Gosschalk. Ashish Jain, who headed engineering and product for the company, will take the reins as Chief Product Officer.
With more than 20 years of experience scaling SaaS solutions, Walsh is a proven leader and steps into this new role where he will help grow the business and inspire and lead a global team that spans four regions: Australia, Europe, India, and the U.S. He will oversee all technology capabilities that include infrastructure and engineering.

“John has long been admired for possessing that rare combination of business acumen and technical prowess,” said Gosschalk. “We’re at a critical junction here at Arkose Labs and the timing is right to bring on a leader of John’s caliber and experience to help us to continue to create value for our customers on top of a technology foundation that supports their growth and ours. His deep experience in building secure, highly available platforms, and growing skilled, motivated teams, make him the ideal leader, as we take our products to new heights and strive towards profitability.”

Prior to joining Arkose Labs, Walsh held chief technology and senior technology roles at category leading companies Mimecast, Tremor Video, and Constant Contact. During these tenures, he worked closely with a widely diverse set of enterprise clients in the business-to-consumer and business-to-business sectors. He is known for being a customer-centric technology leader, ensuring customers have an outstanding experience in terms of product performance, latency, and cost.
“It became clear very early in the hiring process that Arkose Labs is a special company,” Walsh said. “It’s in a dynamic space, solving very complex bot management and human fraud farm problems for the most complex companies in the world who also are the most targeted by attackers.
The sheer volume of attacks these companies face on a daily basis is nearly unfathomable. The Arkose Labs leadership team’s competency is matched only by the impressiveness of the customer base. What excites me, though, is the opportunity to help grow the business, grow the team, and more important grow individuals so that they can achieve their greatest potential through a combination of taking more risks, pushing themselves in areas where they may be a little uncomfortable, and ideally having some fun along the way.”
