Pastel Network Enters Project Galaxy To Launch NFT Campaign
Following its beta launch, Pastel is announcing a partnership with Project Galaxy to launch an NFT campaign focused on collaboration across the ecosystem
Pastel Network, a first-of-its kind decentralized platform built specifically for NFTs, is thrilled to announce its partnership with Project Galaxy, a permissionless NFT protocol that empowers communities with gamified loyalty systems. Through this partnership, Pastel Network aims to launch its second NFT campaign and leverage Project Galaxy’s permissionless infrastructure to support NFT projects that are building customized NFT projects within the ecosystem.

Pastel launched its mainnet in early 2021 and in a very short period of time has become the preeminent protocol standard for NFT technology. Powered by its native blockchain, Pastel’s series of lightweight protocols, including Sense – which assesses relative rareness of a given NFT against near-duplicate metadata – and Cascade – which conducts permanent, distributed storage of underlying NFT data – are the first-of-their kind and can be easily integrated across any native Layer 1 blockchain or Layer 2 marketplaces. Through this collaboration with Project Galaxy, Pastel Network users and followers can access the Galaxy Eco infrastructure that powers on-chain credentials with its unique “plug-and-play” NFT modules. These modules, combined with its NFT-as-a-service infrastructure, offer projects the ability to build customized campaigns that issue credential-based NFTs. Using these customized NFTs, networks in the Galaxy ecosystem can use their NFTs as a loyalty system and give creators and collectors a better form of rewards and incentives.
“Project Galaxy’s unique project empowers creators and collectors to see NFTs not just as a collectible, but as a service that can be used to help developers and community members monetize their NFTs,” said Anthony Georgiades, Co-Founder of Pastel. “Our NFT campaign with Project Galaxy is merely the beginning of an intimate partnership between our two platforms, through which Pastel will become the preferred technology for projects in the Galaxy ecosystem.”

The NFT campaign will launch on October 26 and last through November 14. During the campaign four completely original and unique NFTs can be claimed by those who hold certain amounts of wPSL, Pastel Network’s Ethereum-Wrapped Native Token. “Community collaboration among projects that understand the power and capabilities of NFTs is the key to the future success of DeFi,” said Charles Wayn of Project Galaxy. “Project Galaxy is an ecosystem that invites any project to build their own NFT campaign and harness their own on-chain achievements for a better sense of ownership and gain long-term loyalty rewards within the community. We are very excited to begin this partnership with Pastel Network and look forward to future collaborations and strategic initiatives with their technology standards.”
