The ZK Base Camp will be the first such accelerator of its kind and builds on Outlier Ventures’ thematic base camp offering. With the world and business moving increasingly on-chain, Outlier Ventures has chosen to place a specific focus on ZK in this iteration of Base Camps, recognising its capacity to radically improve a variety of aspects of Web3 enterprises, including in areas such as scalability and privacy.

Jamie Burke, Founder and CEO of Outlier Ventures said: “Zero Knowledge Proofs are the ultimate endgame for Web3 adoption and will dramatically increase the range of use cases we will see on blockchains that require privacy by default. While we are still in the early stages of ZK, and some startups might be unaware of the full potential that it can unlock for their businesses, this Base Camp will be instrumental in educating, understanding, and implementing ZK within the selected cohort, allowing them to effectively transform their businesses.”

The Zero Knowledge (ZK) accelerator program is part of a series of accelerator programs that include:

Filecoin Base Camp

The Filecoin Base Camp will focus on the open data economy and data infrastructure, helping teams whose business potential will leverage Filecoin’s decentralized storage stack to create new use cases that align with Outlier Ventures’ Metaverse OS thesis.

Polygon Base Camp

The Polygon x Base Camp accelerator program is designed to help startups refine and shape their business strategies, optimize their target product-market fit, enhance community growth, and define tokenomics development over five months.

The different programmes will provide startups with an insight into a variety of core business fundamentals, such as initial fundraising, business model testing, scaling up of both operations and tech, and tokenomics, in addition to other major challenges faced as a Web3 start up.

The next series of Base Camp programs will build upon a year that has already witnessed record growth for Outlier Ventures with over 2,500 applications to its accelerator programmes in Q2 and a 40% growth in headcount over the past six months. Outlier Ventures intends to continue this momentum to see out the year, with plans to invest in a further 35-40 projects in Q4, as part of an overarching vision to grow its portfolio to 180+ startups from every region of the world across its Base Camp and Ascent programmes by the year’s close.

Applications for the Q1 2023 program start opening today and will close in December.

Founders interested in applying can book office hours with representatives to learn more about the program and how the accelerator can play a key role in contributing to the growth of their project.
