Winding Tree Appoints New Strategic Advisor as Part of Post-Pandemic Expansion
As travel reopens and crypto finally garners institutional interest, newly appointed advisor Eric Leopold will help steer the travel-distribution company’s post-pandemic efforts and business-development initiatives.
Winding Tree, the Ethereum-powered, travel distribution channel, announces the appointment of Eric Leopold to a general advisory role. Bringing with him a wealth of experience in air-travel solutions and business leadership, Leopold will amplify the company’s push to transform the travel industry with blockchain.
Before joining Winding Tree, Leopold spent 15 years at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), where he served as Director of Financial and Distribution Systems Transformation. At IATA, he worked alongside major airliners, travel agents, technology companies, and airports to boost the organization’s strategy, industry standards, and communication. More recently, Leopold launched an advisory-services company, Threedot, to drive innovation within air travel.
At Winding Tree, Leopold will survey the landscape of the existing travel industry to keep up with the latest developments and ensure the company improves every aspect of the travel experience. Leopold will also focus on expanding dialogue with industry leaders, as well as providing corporate initiatives and pilot projects.
“We’re elated to have Leopold on board,” says Pedro Anderson, COO and Co-founder of Winding Tree. “He brings with him a wealth of experience to our mission in the travel industry, I’m confident he’ll help us analyse the landscape, file down our practices, and help put us on the best footing moving forward.”
