MediQuant Now Available in Epic App Orchard
MediQuant, the leading innovator and provider of enterprise-active archiving and conversion solutions for hospitals and health systems, has formalized its long-standing ability to integrate with Epic software by joining the menu of preferred software services in the Epic App Orchard.
“As vital as data archiving is to the healthcare industry, the quality and access to patient records can affect the well-being of each healthcare service and each function in the organization,” said Dave Lamar, MediQuant’s Chief Growth Officer. “We have worked with Epic and its EHR software for more than five years, helping many health system customers to ensure their enterprise archives are clean, accessible and fully integrated into their new electronic medical records. Joining the Epic App Orchard exemplifies the many ways we work closely with Epic to make transitions as seamless as possible.”

For more than five years, MediQuant has offered Epic integration with the same high standards and blocking that are being required this year by the HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC).
MediQuant offers the most comprehensive system transition and archiving services, including its flagship DataArk technology, with a history of industry-leading interoperability, only some of which is now required by federal Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards for the electronic exchange of healthcare information. The cloud-based app eases access to data across functions, organizations and regional institutions.

Data integration agreements with hospitals over the past five years demonstrate the company’s long-term commitment to better patient records. MediQuant first offered Epic integration to Wellmont Health System for data interoperability in 2014. Since then, data for 23 other health systems with multiple facilities have been integrated, including industry leaders John Muir, Yale New Haven Health and Santa Clara. The company has also invested in significant advances to health data systems with the enterprise Master Patient Index (eMPI) and its AI-driven ArchiveMPI. Since 2012 DataArk’s AutoInvoke feature has provided MediQuant customers with interoperability functionality that focuses on maintaining record quality, earlier and more rigorously than recent federal mandates require.
Perhaps the oldest, fastest growing and most innovative data archive service for healthcare providers, MediQuant has extracted and archived more than 400 different legacy systems and converted more than 200 systems into new EMRs and AEMRs, addressing patient record, accounts receivable, regulatory information and other key areas of historical data necessary for health organizations large and small.
