Liveintent Hires Identity Vet Mano Pillai as Chief Product Officer

Company invests in product leadership as momentum around the power of email grows

LiveIntent, the people-based marketing platform powered by the email address, announced the hiring of its new Chief Product Officer, Mano Pillai. Mano will lead LiveIntent’s Product division in order to serve its Publisher and Advertiser functions, inclusive of LiveIntent’s Identity offerings.

“We sit at the crossroads of a new era for the industry, and LiveIntent has forged a path for its customers to thrive in it,” said Matt Keiser, founder and CEO of LiveIntent. “We’re helping brands predict the email address associated with a device or browser independent of third-party cookies, helping Publishers receive the revenue they deserve now and in the future. Mano will help us offer a framework and an API that allows anyone with CRM data or 1st party cookies to connect to the ecosystem on their terms.”

Previously, Pillai served as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Nikaza, which was acquired by Stirista in late 2020. Nikaza created a bridge between a user’s physical location including the identity data that allows for attribution, and targeting enjoyed by advertisers, to reach an audience where it was present and paying attention.

“We are less than a year until the demise of third-party cookies,” said Pillai. “LiveIntent is perfectly positioned to  help brands and publishers thrive by leveraging the assets they already invest in: email. As the need for Publishers and Brands to coalesce around a solution becomes more clear, LiveIntent will continue to innovate and connect them to the ecosystem.”

Pillai’s hire comes after a year of impressive growth for LiveIntent, with revenues growing by more than 25% from 2019 to 2020, including impressive growth during Q2 where many advertising platforms struggled. Earlier this year, LiveIntent expanded its C-Suite to add Jon Beck as Chief Revenue Officer, Kerel Cooper as Chief Marketing Officer, and Abby Hamilton as Chief People Officer
