New Storyblok Partnership To Transform International Marketing With AI-driven Localisation

43% of marketers say content localisation is extremely important – yet 35% admit to publishing content in only one language

Lokalise, a continuous localisation and translation management platform, employs AI and algorithms for automated text and speech translation across languages. This new collaboration enables firms like CoachHub to integrate Lokalise with Storyblok, streamlining content translation into multiple languages and reducing content management time by 25%.

The partnership’s launch aligns with findings suggesting many businesses are hindering their international market expansion by not prioritising localisation. A global survey by Storyblok involving 500 marketers showed that 79% of companies publish content in only 1-3 languages in their CMS, with 35% using just one language. Despite this, 43% acknowledge the extreme importance of translating and localising content, and 81% believe that multilingual content would aid in customer acquisition, with 44% of them seeing it as significantly beneficial.

Moreover, previous findings from Storyblok highlight that offering content in additional languages can markedly boost traffic growth rates: adding 1 to 3 extra languages can result in up to a 26% increase over three months and a 24% rise over six months.

The good news is that AI might offer a solution, as 90% of respondents are open to using it for CMS content translation into more languages. Storyblok’s integration with Lokalise leverages AI-powered translations within the CMS, making multilingual content more accessible.

Petr Antropov, Co-Founder of Lokalise, shared: “It’s fascinating to see the size of the gap between companies that offer their products and services in only one language (35% of the survey’s participants), and, say, half of Lokalise’s 3500 customers that run their offers in eight or more languages. Thanks to recent technological developments which made localization no longer a challenge but an opportunity, that gap will not stay for long, and we’re excited to play a part in the change.”

Barry D’Arcy, VP of Partners at Storyblok, said: “Enterprises understand the value of translating their content, but many fail to prioritize it because the path forward appears to be unclear or overly complicated. Our partnership with Lokalise makes translation and localization a natural part of content workflows. 2024 should be the year that more businesses finally take multilingual content experiences seriously.”
