Qumulo Expands Leadership Team with Technology Industry Veterans Ryan Farris and Brandon Whitelaw
New executive team members with extensive cloud expertise join company with strong momentum and recent 22% increase in customer base
Qumulo, the radically simple way to manage exabyte-scale data anywhere, announced the appointment of Ryan Farris as Vice President of Product and Brandon Whitelaw as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships. They will help drive cloud innovation and strategic partnerships as Qumulo enters a new chapter of growth and continues to help customers Scale Anywhere. The new hires come just after the company wrapped up its fiscal year 2023 with a 22% increase in customers, highlighting the company’s understanding of the vast and dynamic data storage environment.

Prior to Qumulo, Farris was the CTO at Anitian, a leading provider of cloud security and compliance automation. His team focused on the creation of disruptive software used by enterprises seeking to accelerate the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) process. Previously, he served as the Product and Engineering Leader at Amazon and focused on building capabilities for media and entertainment workflows, live video streaming, edge computing, and features to improve package deliveries in the “Last Mile.”

Whitelaw also comes from Amazon where he led worldwide go-to-market strategy for AWS’s storage portfolio along with vertical solution development. Prior to AWS, Whitelaw was Chief of Strategy for Dell’s File and Object division where he developed their hybrid multi-cloud strategy and led collaboration efforts with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS.
The company’s growing leadership team, including the addition of Chief Technology Officer Kiran Bhageshpur and Chief Customer Officer Eric Brodersen this year, is focused on helping customers scale anywhere as every organization has unique data storage needs. To sustain and accelerate growth in EMEA, Qumulo also appointed Claire Thompson as Vice President of EMEA Sales Operations and Worldwide Sales Enablement and Fabrice Gourlay as Vice President of EMEA Sales.
