UiPath Appoints Rick Harshman to Lead Company’s Asia Pacific and Japan Region
Former Google Cloud executive joins RPA industry leader to accelerate vision and growth in the region
UiPath, a leading enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software company, announced that Rick Harshman has joined the Company as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific and Japan, effective immediately. Harshman joins UiPath from Google Cloud, where most recently he served as Managing Director of Asia Pacific. In that role, he led all revenue and go-to-market operations for Google Cloud, including Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Hangouts), in the Asia Pacific region.
A seasoned executive with more than 20 years’ experience in leadership and senior management roles in the technology industry across all of Asia, Harshman has a track record in leading hyper-growth sales, go-to-market operations, and developing new markets.

Prior to joining Google, Harshman was the Head of ASEAN for Amazon Web Services (AWS). Prior to his role as Head of ASEAN, he was Head of India for AWS from where he established the AWS business in India. During his more than six years at AWS, Harshman was part of the senior leadership team and was critical in driving revenue growth. Prior to AWS, he also held management positions at Akamai Technologies in the United States, Australia and Singapore.
